The Saihokai Supporters’ Program was launched in September 2023, and we are now celebrating its third anniversary. Your support has been our greatest encouragement in preserving and passing on Saihoji.

To express our gratitude, we are pleased to invite you to Supporters’ Day on October 25, at the peak of the fall foliage.

On this day, you will enter through the main gate, which is usually closed to the public, and walk along the moss-covered path into the temple grounds. There is no set order for your visit. You are welcome to walk through the garden at your own pace, copy a sutra in the main hall to calm your mind, or meditate in the fall breeze. Please enjoy your time as you wish.

The amount you pay for visit is up to you.
We would be grateful if you could kindly place a small offering in the donation box at the main temple.

[Important notes when reserving your visit]
Reception opens : August 25
Deadline : October 23
-Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
-Participation in this program is limited to Saihokai supporters only.
-Visitors must be aged 13 or older at time of visit
-One accompanying guest is allowed. Accompanying guests do not need to be supporters.
-Please bring a valid photo ID for identity verification on the day of your visit.
-The application process may change from next year, such as switching to a lottery. We would like to continue holding this program every fall, sometime from October to November.
